Other anime/random things that happened in these 2 weeks

Type-Moon announced their newest work, and this is pretty exciting for a Type-Moon fan such as myself. The work is “Mahoutsukai no Yoru: Witch on a Holy Night” and this actually the same name of a novel that Kinoko Nasu (writer of Type-Moon) released privately years ago. It’s currently assumed by most that it will be a visual novel version of the story. Learn more on Akiba Channel (which is a great site BTW). This work focuses on Aozaki Aoko who was a pretty significant (but mostly unseen) character in Tsukihime, and that adds to the excitement aswell.

I watched

Kyouran Kazoku Nikki. I decided to watch this as soon as it aired. And talk about a comedy with total insanity…..and you think about a ton of other anime I assume? Well I think this show is nice in a it’s use of the “odd people thrown together” concept. I’ll lay out the story simply. Humanity worries about oncoming evil from a ancient being. They put the descendants of the being together as a family to try and avoid the catastrophe by hoping the evil one will not want to do anything after learning about the joy of family. I like the quality of this series (animation, the way things go together), and I look forward to more. Oh yeah and here are some other opinions of mine that I posted on another blog.

Macross Frontier. Well I think the one thing people will poiting out here is the HD movie quality animation. I”m not HUGELY excited for the story. Watching the first episode made me confused as hell. But I like the seiyu choice. They Yuuichi Nakamura as the main character and a few other good male seiyu as minor characters. I think I’ll keep watch with this.

Wagaya no Oinari-sama. The first episode was more boring than….a story with uneventual happenings, good analogy there. I will try watching the second episode. Primary reason I’m watching thisĀ  is because the main character, Kuugen (who’s a Kitsune) has ability to change his/her gender. He/She has two seiyu, Yuuichi Nakamura (again) and Yukana (C.C. in Code Geass), and I like the choice of seiyu. I know the dual gender thing isn’t exactly original, but I haven’t seen an anime with it in a while. So far the main character is the onlyu interesting character….cause she (OK I’m going to use she for now) was the only one to get developed and the other two characters (two brothers, one who needs her help) are pretty dang normal.\

Blassreiter. Not many people like this series. First of all it’s by GONZO and they only create interesting series once in a thousand years. I don’t like Gonzo so much because of their tendency to change things in manga adapted storylines or just their record of shows I don’t like (Trinity Blood, Hellsing, Kaze no Stigma). But Blassreiter has managed to intrigue me, perhaps it’s because of Nitro+’s involvement. Nitro+ has made so many cool visual novels that I really want to play, and their contribution seems to be pulling off because I haven’t gotten annoyed at the show for TWO EPISODES.
